Planning A Budget For Our South Florida Vacation

My girlfriend and I are planning to take a road trip this Fall to South Florida for our annual vacation.  Even though we live in Orlando, which is technically Central Florida, we rarely go down south and are making a point to check it out fully this vacation.  I have not been to Key West since I was like 10, and she has never been to Miami so we are looking forward to getting away and exploring.  We typically plan out all the places and sites we want to go, and then build our itinerary from there.  We have budgeted $1500 ($750 each) for the trip and could end up saving a little more and bumping it up to $1700 especially after checking out the prices yesterday.  I put together this spreadsheet to show how we plan on allocating the money.  I am rarely this organized about a vacation budget, but I thought this would be a good exercise for this site to share as well as find out how others budget for their vacations.  Any tips people have we would be glad to hear.

Criteria:  We want to do 6 or 7 nights in South Florida, starting with Miami.  We want to spend 3 or 4 nights as close to South Beach as possible.  Then drive to Key West for 2 or 3 nights and we want to stay in a bed and breakfast type place with decent proximity to Duval St for the remainder.  I think we can do it for between $1500 and $1700.  I do have hotel points that I can use, but you typically have to sacrifice location to use those.  So we could stay out by the airport for free or stay in South Beach and get only like one free night.  I will update on itinerary when we decide specifics.  Any advice you have feel free to leave a comment.
